Privacy
Your listings stay yours.
What we collect, why we collect it, who helps us run the service, and how to see or delete your data.

Glisten is the trading name of a small Australian business. We serve real estate agents, mainly in the United States. In this policy "we" means Glisten and "you" means anyone who uses glistenhq.com. Questions about privacy go to hello@glistenhq.com.
What we collect
- Your email address. It's your account: we send your copy, receipts and your account link to it.
- Listing facts you type in. For example the area, beds, baths, features and the tone you want. We only write from what you tell us.
- Listing photos. Photo editing happens on your own device. In your account, each edited photo (full size, plus a 1,024-pixel preview) is then saved privately to your account, so you can open the listing on your phone and your computer. The free sample saves nothing: only small copies (1,024 pixels on the long side) are sent, so the writer can see the rooms.
- The copy we write for you, and your account details: listings used, credits left and your plan status.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us the payment went through, the amount, and its own customer and subscription references so we can manage your plan.
- Photos you choose to tidy. Tidy-up is optional. For each photo you tidy, that photo (up to 2,560 pixels on the long side) and the tidied version are stored with us, and both are shown on a public originals page for that listing (glistenhq.com/o/ and a code), because California's AB 723 asks for the original of an altered listing photo to be publicly available. The page shows only the photos and what was removed: no names, addresses or contact details.
- Team enquiries. If you use our team form: your name, company, city or area, rough listings a month and email.
- Questions you ask Sloane, our AI assistant. They're sent to our AI writing service to answer you, and we don't store them. Please don't type personal details into the chat.
- Photographer partners. If you apply: your name, business, email, website, area, rough shoots a month and, if you give it, the PayPal email for payouts. For referred agents, we note which partner's link they came through on their account, so the partner can be paid.
- A little technical information. To limit free samples to three a day from one connection, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address and the date (not the address itself). If you arrived through a tagged link, we note that tag so we know which links work.
How we use your photos and facts
Only to make that listing: to show it to you on your devices, to write its copy and its free rewrites, and to tidy the photos you choose. Photos saved to your account are private: they open only from your account, through addresses that can't be guessed. We don't sell them, share them for marketing, show them to other customers (apart from a listing's public originals page), or use them to train any AI model.
Who helps us run the service
A few trusted providers process data for us, only to provide the service:
- Website hosting and storage (Netlify): runs the site and stores accounts, listings, jobs and photos.
- An AI writing service: reads your facts and the small photo copies and drafts the copy, and answers questions asked in Sloane's chat. Under its commercial terms it does not use this data to train its models.
- An AI image service: makes the tidied version of a photo you choose to tidy.
- Payments (Stripe): checkout, plans, receipts and the billing page.
- Email delivery: sends your copy, receipts and account links.
- Fonts (Google Fonts): your browser loads our typefaces from Google, which sees your IP address when it does.
These providers are mostly based in the United States, so your data is stored and processed there. We don't sell or "share" personal information as those words are used in US state privacy laws.
How long we keep it
- Photos saved to your account: 60 days after you last change the listing, then deleted automatically (the copy we wrote stays in your account and your email). Delete a listing in the app and its photos go straight away.
- Small photo copies sent to the writer: up to 30 days, so your free rewrites can see the rooms, then deleted.
- Your account and the copy we wrote: while your account is in use. Ask us and we'll delete it.
- Payment records: as long as tax law requires (in Australia, five years).
- Tidied photos and their originals: about 13 months (a listing's marketing life), then deleted. You can take a listing's originals page down sooner from your account, or ask us.
- Team enquiries: up to two years, or sooner if you ask.
- Partner applications and the partner ledger: while you're a partner, then as long as tax law requires for payouts.
Cookies and analytics
We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on our pages, and we set no cookies of our own. Your browser keeps a few small items in its own storage: your account key, so you stay signed in, and the tag or photographer-partner code from a link you arrived by (kept 90 days). Clearing your browser data removes them. Stripe's checkout and billing pages are on Stripe's site and use Stripe's own cookies.
Your account link
Your account is opened by a private link we email you. Anyone with that link can use your listings, so please keep it to yourself. If you think someone else has it, email us.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@glistenhq.com from the address on your account and we'll reply within 30 days (usually much sooner). These rights apply wherever you live. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles; if you're unhappy with how we handle a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Children
Glisten is a tool for real estate professionals and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to how we use your data, we'll email account holders first.
